  1. Join a virtual open house on any Tuesday at 8 PM or by appointment.
  2. Sign a waiver.
  3. Sign the Membership Essentials form
  4. Sign up and make your first payment.
    Select a membership level and input payment information in our member management system. You’ll start an automatic monthly recurring subscription through our Member Management system, Wild Apricot, and payment processor, Stripe. By signing up to be a member you agree to follow our bylawsmembership agreement, and policies.
  5. Get your ID checked by two member-admins
    Present your government-issued ID to two members with admin privileges at an online open house, held every Tuesday at 8pm (unless noted otherwise on our calendar). Ensure you have a working video camera so that we can properly identify you. If you can’t attend any virtual open house please contact info (at) pumpingstationone.org so we can arrange a time to meet.
  6. Attend an orientation within the first 3 months of joining.
    Please check with your tour guide at our online open house about Orientation procedures.

If you’d like more information please attend an online open house for a tour and Q&A, most Tuesdays at 8 pm. All are welcome to attend whether you’ve already paid or just want to look around and ask questions. You can also take a look at our wiki and follow the links under “New Members Start Here!” in the Member Information section.

You must be authorized for most tools you want to use at PS:1, the authorization process varies from tool to tool. We cover the authorization policy during orientation, on tours, or you can read up on the wiki https://wiki.pumpingstationone.org/Authorization_Policy

If you are paying for someone else, email a note about the payment including the name/email of the person you are paying for to: info (at) pumpingstationone (dot) org. We do not offer corporate, group or family memberships.

We don’t offer any discounts but every member has the ability to volunteer their time for the betterment of the organization; request or be nominated for member points which can be used for dues discounts.

New members are required to attend an Orientation to PS1 event on the fourth Sunday of each month, 4-6 pm, before or within three months of becoming a member. There may be additional orientation dates, so take a look at our calendar.

We offer a limited number of scholarships per quarter. To apply,  fill out the scholarship application form and send us a quick email at: info (at) pumpingstationone.org.

You may log into your PS1 member account and suspend your membership at any time by logging into the following link: https://membership.pumpingstationone.org/. You will remain a member until the end of your billing cycle. We’ll keep you in our records and your authorizations and door access will be honored if you choose to join again at a later date.
